The photography plays an important role in my work.
My approach towards photography is purely inadvertent; I became close to it only because I needed to ensure the models were positioned well for my paintings; something I still continue to do until today.
The way I take photographs it is not in a traditional way which an artist - a painter, that uses the camera as a third eye which I fix the objects with a shot, in order to create later the true works of art and the settings of the project.
Therefore, photography has, first of all, importance on a planning level. This has given me a direction, scenes and settings of situations that appear real; an idea, history, performance, a conceived event by putting the models in the picture, these being exthernal bodies or my own self-portraits.
My passion for this way of expression has brought me to realize my final images from a techical point of view, a particular vision oriented towards the works of some black and white artists who have created some of their works on naked bodies, which is my main area of investigation.
For this purpose the photos I have taken still remain, and in their original form, even though some of them I have taken for my paintings and graphics; other times I have used only the actual photographs which allowed me to illustrate an idea in a clearer and more direct way, with respect to the paintings. This section contains a summary of some of my pfotographic work: pictures, series of photographs, diverse compositions, and small installations.
